KFC landed in Singapore in 1977, when the first restaurant opened its doors at Somerset Road.

Today KFC serves more than 1 million customers each month through over 80 stores across Singapore. This makes KFC one of the largest fast food chains in the country.

We are passionate about serving our customers freshly prepared, great tasting food with a key part of this being The Colonel's signature blend of 11 herbs and spices. Even today these remain a secret with the original recipe under lock and key in our headquarters in Kentucky, USA.

1890

img slider milestones 2 — Born Harland David Sanders in Henryville, Indiana USA.

1900

img slider milestones 3 — The Colonel holds a series of jobs as a farm hand, streetcar conductor, army private in Cuba, blacksmith helper, rail yard fireman, salesman and service station operator for Standard Oil.

1930

img slider milestones 4 — Ran a Shell service station in North Corbin, Kentucky, USA - in addition to selling fuel, served meals to travellers in the back of the filling station at his own dining table.

1950

img slider milestones 5 — The "Original Recipe" of 11 secret herbs and spices were finalised - combined with the advances of the pressure fryer.

1952

1955

img slider milestones 7 — Pete Harman in Salt lake City becomes the first KFC franchisee. He then trademarked the phrase "It's finger lickin' good", which eventually become the company-wide slogan.

1957

1960

img slider milestones 9 — KFC has more than 600 franchise outlets in the United States, Canada and the first overseas outlet in England.

1966

1994

img slider milestones 18 — KFC Singapore opens 2 Deaf-operated restaurants at Toa Payoh and Fuchun Community Club and became the Ambassador for the Deaf in 2004.

2007
